Disabled divers under the ice

On 25^th of February five divers with spinal cord injury from Slovenia and Croatia (Damjan Peklar, Klaudija Poropat, Ales Povse - Yoda, Peter Majcen - LG, Ivo Lovrenovic) diving under the ice, in the lake Rudnisko jezero in Kocevje. It is the first such action in the world, as so far diving for people with spinal cord injury has been limited to the warmer environment.
Action was organized by IAHD Adriatic with the purpose of collecting data. Research team is led by Prof. Dr. Zare Finderle and Urska Gajsek, MD. Researching began with measurements of temperature, pressure, and saturation pulse and oxygen saturation and continued with measurements of cardiac function during diving in the water, which had only 4 degrees Celsius.
The first unofficial results show that with good preparation divers with spinal cord injury are no less at risk than all the others recreational divers.
