2010 General Assembly Ends with Important Decisions and Convincing Unity
•The new Secretary General Mr. Alessandro Zerbi from the Monaco Federation approved by the General Assembly
•Improved 2009 Balance got an unprecedented majority yes vote
•2010 budget accepted by the federations
•2010-2013 Masterplan discussed in substance and approved. Major aspects of the Masterplan include improvement of the Confederation´s finances and its alliance and development policies for the next four years
•Committee Presidents´s reports approved
•Representative of the Colombian Federation updated the Assembly on developments of the organisation of CMAS Games 2011. AVIANCA, - Colombia´s national airline - proposes concessional rates for athletes´ transportation to Bogota, Neiva and San Andres
•Rome accepted as venue for 2011 General Assembly
•Bali discussed as possible venue for 2012 General Assembly, detailed proposal of the Indonesian Federation is to come later in 2010
•Based on the proposal of the French Federation Marseille was approved as venue for 2013 General Assembly
•Dr. Pierre Dernier, former Secretary General of CMAS and Mr. Rainer Gottwald, outgoing Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of the Thai Federation were condecorated by the representatives of the Thai Divers Federation for their dedicated work done in the past years within CMAS for the benefit of the global diving community in general and for the development of the Thai diving environment and its Federation in particular
