Opening of diving season 2015

After a long break however, we managed to dive again. Alenka Fidler has finally completed her master degree which should be completed eleven years ago. Multiannual hibernation, when diving is concerned, also ended for Tomaz Bobik, and he was awakened as a very good diver for this occasion. Those who have awakened from the winter hibernation were joined by Klaudija Poropat and me.
I and Klaudija are known anyway, that where there is something going on, this is a must for us.
 
This time the season opened at the new location for a change 6. 6. 2015, in the diving centre Rovinj sub. The first dive took place from the coast. In the labyrinth of rocks we were joined by a newcomer Austrian diver Michael who was, depending on the experience, surprisingly useful and helpful as assistant when entering the water and coming out of it, and contrary to the expectations, a clever and highly reliable companion under water. The second dive was a night dive held at the same location. After a long time we have seen a Stingray, which was attracted to us by a beam of light from the torches.
On Sunday we made a dive on the wreck named Giuseppe Dezza. The ship is immersed minesweeper, which lies at a depth of between 28 and 37 meters. His gloomy history is adorned by countless purple Flabellins who occupy all parts of the wreck. Under water we were joined by the doctor Vlado Bjelajac. Regardless of the poor visibility Vlado tried to shoot some good underwater photos.
Tomaz was teased during the dive by a strip of his diving mask, but he responded like a true diving veteran. In raising my body out of the water some divers from Italy and Austria came to help, which based on past experiences, was a very nice surprise.
 
We will definitely come back to Rovinj, especially because of the countless unexplored corners and last but not least therefore, because the colleagues in Rovinj had taken good care for us.
