13th International "Day witouth wheelchair"

On 8th of July 2016 at the city swimming pool in Slovenske Konjice Plavalni klub Slovenske Konjice and Association of paraplegics Jugozahodne Stajerske with Association of paraplegics of Slovenia and IAHD Adriatic have prepared 13th event Day without a wheelchair. It was attended by over 40 participants from all over Slovenia and Croatia.

The main activity of the event was diving. Team members (Barbara Slacek, Matej Lednik and Ales Povse and their coaches Alenka Fidler and Gaber Guna), who attended the first international competition in sport diving for the disabled, which took place between 27th and 30th of June in the Russian Anapa on the Black sea, presenting all three racing disciplines.
This year disabled divers offer some random visitors to try to dive for the first time. Vinko bring his son Ziga under water, Ales and Barbara give the opportunity to taste underwater experience to Nace, Jan and Jaka. For adventure enthusiasts we prepared underwater scooter Poseidon.
The event was supported by the visit of the Mayor of Slovenske Konjice, Mr. Miran Gorinšek and vice president of the Association of Paraplegics, Mr. Damjan Hovnik.
