Diving AST 2009 - Accompanying Events

Accompanying events of the 7^th International Symposium Diving AST 2009 started on Friday, 13^th of February.
 
Decompression Practice, round-table
 
In Hotel Dravinja in Slovenske Konjice started round-table at 17.00 concerning Dekompression practice that was lead by Petar Denoble, MD, D.Sc.
Co-operators became familiar with latest results in researches in area of hyperbaric and marine medical and algorithms of decompression plates in backgrounds of diving computers.
 
Sprehodi pod morjem
»Belgrade after Belgrade«
 
Opening of the 1^st International Festival of Underwater Film and Video »Sprehodi pod moprjem«, that was organized by Swimming club Slovenske Konjice and Commune Slovenske Konjice, was opened by mayor of City of Slovenske Konjice, Miran Gorinsek. Marjan Richter, pioneer of underwater film and cameraman of first color underwater film in Adriatic region, took us on walk to history of underwater film with picture projection. Presents were greeted by manager of Belgrade film festival, Milorad Djuknic, and leader of program world of the 1^st International Festival of Underwater Film and Video, Peter Lombar.
 
Evening was followed by IAHD Adriatic film: The Choice OF SCI Divers: Wreck Elhawi Star, Sigrid and Lina. This short documentary film shows diving on wrecks in the Adriatic Sea. Divers with spinal cord injury (SCI) escorted by the instructors of international federation IAHD Adraitic discovered the underwater wrecks of Elhawi Star, Sigrid and Lina.
 
Central part of evening was assigned to best films shown on the 12^th Belgrade international festival of underwater film. On »To walk under sea« we discovered where naked sea snails are hiding and how they eat, how a moraine can be bloodthirsty between feeding and how you can kiss with sharks.
